Leaves are so versatile as a crafting theme. Real leaves are wonderful, but sometimes it’s easier and more practicle to make leaves from paper.

We have LOTS of leaf projects in our archives, including these realistic Squish art leaves, made using this very set of shapes. However, I’m sharing them again as an open-ended resource because I want to provide a template that doesn’t limit people to a single, specific end product.

This symmetrical set includes 6 assorted leaf shapes, each included in two sizes. We also have a non-symmetrical natural leaf pack here. All of the crafts we made with our original leaf pack can also be made with this set (plus more!).

The new fold-and-cut symmetrical design makes the leaves half as much work for little hands to cut. It also gives you a leaf-shaped paper frame that can be used as a masking template.

One way to use the leaf mask shapes is to pin them over a sheet of art paper and use a sponge to dab the masked shape. When you remove the paper, you will be left with a sponge art leaf.

See our Pumpkin sponge painting for a clear example.
