Apple crafts are so much fun! Apple shapes are great for back-to-school crafts, Autumn or fall ideas, harvest season and more.

I love that apple-themed arts and crafts subtly promote healthy eating too.

This set of apple shape templates can be used however you like, but here are some ideas to get your started.

Fun ways to use Apple templates

Themed Collage Art: Print the apples to construction paper in different colours and collage them onto a base sheet of cardboard or art paper. Incorporate magazine clippings or photographs that go with your theme. For example, things that begin with the letter A, healthy foods, or red and green things.

Paper Mosaic Art: Print the shells to different coloured paper, cut out, and snip the offcuts into small pieces to create paper mosaic fragments. Glue whole apples onto a backing sheet and surround with paper mosaic fragments

Apple Sun catchers: Cut the centre out of a large paper apple to turn it into an apple-shaped frame, stick to sticky-back plastic, and fill with squares of coloured tissue paper. Cover with a second sheet of sticky-back plastic and cut around the shape. Hang on window with blu-tack.

Apple Bunting: Print 10 or more copies of the 2-up apples to white paper and decorate each one with paints, markers, crayons etc. String into bunting and hang up. This is a fun group collaborative art project

Apple Crowns: Create paper crowns from strips of paper and decorate with apple cut outs (try using the 12-up or 6-up apple templates, or a combination)

Apple photo or message tree: Use brown/kraft paper to sketch and cut out a life-sized paper tree for a bulletin board or wall. Decorate with green paper leaves and cut-outs of the 4-up or 6-up apples. On each apple, stick a child’s photo or have them write a message to a theme, for example, something they love.

Apple Doodle Art: Use any combination of apple shapes to stick onto a backing sheet of card stock and decorate each apple with a different doodle art pattern. We made this last year
