Scarecrows are characters most kids associate with corn and other harvest veggies. Made from old clothes and straw, they have the important job of pretending to be human and protecting our homegrown food from birds.

Then later, when nobody’s looking, they come to life, right?

Luckily this craft stick scarecrow is a friendly one. He’s made using basic materials plus a few things easily found in most dollar stores. Or you can substitute them with whatever you have laying around.

When you’re done, you could optionally glue strong magnets to the back to turn your scarecrow into a fridge magnet.

Let’s make it!
