Turn lollipops and fizzy candies into cute DIY Halloween treats. These are easy to make using our Open-Ended Bat Templates and Free Printable Halloween Eyes.

I’ve had bats on the brain this year with Halloween crafting! I’ve already shared rainbow bat treat baskets, 3D bat pattern art and now we have these DIY Halloween treats.
This is a cute idea that kids can make to hand out to friends or give to trick-or-treaters.

They’d also make fun party favours.
This tutorial includes two different styles of bat; A fizzy candy bat and a lollipop bat. Both are made using unlabelled lollipops and fizzy sweets.

There’s also a lollipop spider made using the discarded head of the lollipop bat (the ears become the spider’s fangs).

I’ve used bright colours to make my Halloween treats but you could go the traditional route and use blacks and oranges instead. It’s up to you.
Are you ready to make them? (There is a printable set of instructions at the end of this post).

How to Make the Fizzy Candy Bats
- Print multiple copies of the 2-up fold-and-cut bats to coloured card stock (print as many as you want to make).
- Fold and cut the bats out.
- Cut two small slits in the body of the bat while folded, one near the top of the body and one near the tail.
- Fold this section backwards and forwards, then unfold your bat. Pop the mid section out.
- Slide a fizzy candy into the bat’s popped-out stomach.
- Glue on a pair of Halloween eyes (or draw your own)

How to make Lollipop Bats
- Print multiple copies of the 6-up fold-and-cut bats to coloured card stock.
- Fold and cut the bats out.
- Cut the heads off and keep aside to use for spider pops.
- Fold the bats again, then cut two slits approximately double the width of your lollipop sticks. Pop this section out by folding it backwards and forwards, then folding it in the opposite way to the rest of the bat once unfolded.
- Slide a lollipop into the gaps.
- Use blu-tack to stick two Halloween eyes onto the lollipop head.

How to make Lollipop Spiders
- Cut two pipe cleaners in half.
- Place them in a bundle of four pipe cleaners and twist the centre. You now have eight spider legs.
- Wrap the bundle of legs around a lollipop, just below the lolly part. Bend and shape the legs to look like spider legs with knees and feet.
- Place a bat head so the ears are pointing down like fangs. Glue two eyes above the fangs.
- Use blu-tack to attach the head to the spider legs.

These spiders are way too cute to be scary!
Now your treats are ready to hand out for Halloween—yum!

Happy Halloween to all our readers!
