Mother’s Day is next weekend already! To celebrate, we have a new set of printable Mother’s Day cards for kids to colour in.

These are fun for all ages and very easy to make. They come in four cute designs with a side of cheesy humour thrown in (and we all know kids loooove a bit of cheese!).

We have lots of Mother’s Day crafts and activities in our archives, but sometimes you just want something quick, easy and low-mess. Especially if you have multiple mothers in your life to get making for (like numerous grandparents or those from blended families). Or maybe you have multiple kids and they all want to make something different. 

This set of four cards is perfect for those situations!  The designs are not too complex to colour and each finished card has a unique handmade look, shaped as the design.

How to make the printable Mother’s Day cards

You will need:

  • White cardstock (recommended, although plain paper will also work)
  • Washable markers, crayons or pencils
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Optional scoring tool, ruler and cutting mat (you can use a butter knife if you have no scoring tool)
  • The printable template, available in our printables store

How to:

Print the design of your choice onto white cardstock.

Colour the picture and cut the shapes out.

Optional extra step for paper crafting geeks: Score the fold line. This gives you a clean fold line and makes the card line up more accurately. You can get scoring tools inexpensively from most craft stores (and many dollar stores). They look like this (affiliate link).

Fold the flap on the inside shape and glue the card together.
