Make some gorgeous, scented peaches and cream DIY bath bombs as a handmade gift for somebody special. This would be ideal for Mum, Grandma, a special friend, neighbours or even for teachers.

Today we’re hearing from Kelly from Kicking it with Kelly blog who is sharing one of her amazing home made bath bomb recipes. We here at The Craft Train have attempted DIY bath bombs before (the girls once made them as teacher gifts), but they didn’t turn out this well!
Kids can help to make these, and will love using them in the bath too. There is something magical about the way bath bombs fizz and bubble that is mesmerising, and they will love the sweet peach scent in the water which will help to relax and calm them before bedtime.
This recipe uses real bath bomb molds that you can get from Amazon, but you could also use silicon cupcake molds if you don’t want to invest in those.
How to make Peaches and Cream DIY bath bombs
You will need
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid (It’s better to buy in bulk on Amazon)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup bentonite clay (I got mine on Amazon)
- 3 tablespoons solid coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon polysorbate 80 (I get mine on Amazon)
- Peaches and Cream scent
- Peach or orange mica powder (I get mine on Amazon)
- Spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol
- 1 large mixing bowl
- Bath bomb molds (or silicone molds)
How to:
- In a large mixing bowl, add baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and the bentonite clay.
- Add coconut oil.
- Add the polysorbate 80. This helps the coconut oil disperse more evenly in your bath water and prevents the mica from sticking to the side of the tub.
- Add the peaches and cream scent and mix the ingredients together. I use my hands to break down any lumps and make sure everything is really mixed in there.
- Separate the mixture evenly between two bowls. Add the orange mica to one bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Take a bath bomb mold and fill each side with the mixture. I layer mine by alternating the white and peach colors. Press both sides together, using a twisting/grinding motion to get rid of any excess mixture. Gently tap each side and carefully remove the bomb
- Leave molds overnight to harden. Store in an airtight container until ready to use. Drop one in the bath when ready to use!

I love these. Citric acid can be quiete harsh on the skin though, I wish there was a less harsh version.Will have to try these they sound good.
At what point did you use the food processor? Is one needed for this recipe?
