Printable fairy letters

My kids are growing up way too quick – pretty soon they’ll no longer believe in fairies which is a little bit sad. I figure I should make the most of this time while I can and encourage them in their imaginative play. It’s so much better than seeing them sit in front of a screen!

Today I’m sharing some printable mini writing paper and envelopes which is designed for kids to use in play. You can bet the fairies in our garden loved getting a few letters on these! They would also make sweet mini Valentine notes to hand out to friends.

The writing paper is small but not so small it can’t be written on, and is prettily decorated with flowers and leaves.

How to make a fairy letter

Simply print out a copy of our Printable fairy letters and envelopes, then cut the individual pages out and write on them. We’ve used gel pens to write on ours.

How to make a fairy envelope

To make an envelope cut out the envelope shape and fold along the lines. It’s easiest to do this by scoring along the fold lines first. Do this by running a blunt butter knife along the fold lines using a ruler. Scoring makes it super easy to fold together and you will get a nice, clean fold line. Add glue to the side tabs using  a glue stick and glue the envelope together. Once you’ve popped your letter in seal it shut with your glue stick, or use a sticker.

Now it is time to post your fairy letter so head out to the garden and leave it in your favourite fairy spot. We put ours in our designated fairy garden.

Our fairies are notoriously shy, but you never know if they’ll come to your tea party if you never actually invite them, do you?

  1. Thank you so much for these. My daughter, along with the rest of her class has suddenly become obsessed with a fairy door in a tree at school. She wants to write to her tooth fairy ( Twinkle!) to ask her some questions about the door so I wanted something to help Twinkle be able to reply on and these are perfect!
    Many thanks again!

  2. Thank you for these! My 10 yr old still writes to her fairy and now her sister’s fairy as well. I love having them reply on this paper.
