Did anyone see where 2025 went? Because it was here one second, gone the next.
It’s now time to welcome a new year, and what better way to do that than while wearing hand-coloured party accessories?
Our printable New Year party pack includes three crowns, a set of large and small silly glasses, and a 2026 wishing wand.
This year, my teen daughter and a couple of her friends did the honours of colouring in the examples for a bit of extra pocket money.
They all did a great job!

All these crafts are super easy to make.
Last year, I took a set to our family’s New Year’s Day BBQ. They were a hit with kids and adults alike. We all looked great, celebrating in our handmade paper hats!
Card stock is recommended for printing but paper also works.
For colouring, the girls used Sharpie Markers (affiliate link), but you can use any markers.
If printing these templates to ordinary paper (instead of card stock), it’s best to use regular washable markers because Sharpies will go through thin paper and stain the surface below.
Age suggestion: 5+, but younger kids could make these with some adult help.
How to make our 2026 New Year Printables
You will need
- Card stock in white
- Sharpie Markers or washable kids markers
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Large craft stick (for the wishing wand)
- Optional curling ribbon
- The New Year templates, available from our printables store and TPT store
Printable 2026 Party Hats
Colour the hat you wish to make.
Cut the shapes out.
Glue together into a hat.
Printable 2026 Silly Glasses
Print either the large glasses or small glasses. The large glasses are adult-sized, most kids will need the small ones.
Colour the design.
Cut the shapes out.
Fold the glasses handle tabs and use a glue stick to stick them to the front eye part.
Alternatively, use a piece of hat elastic and a hole punch to turn this into a mask. The paper glasses are annoying to wear and a mask will stay on kids’ faces better.
Printable 2026 Wishing Wand
Print and colour the wishing wand template.
Cut the shapes out.
Use a glue stick to glue the craft stick to the back of one star. Glue the other star on top of it, back to back.
Optionally, tie a piece of ribbon below the star to make your wishing wand even more magical.
