Make a fun set of Paper Space Rockers! There are 3 designs to print and create: A rocket, an astronaut and an alien in a flying saucer. 

This is an easy DIY toy for kids aged 6 and up, although younger kids could make it with some adult help.

Of all the themes you can craft to, space has to be one of the coolest. It’s packed with possibility, adventure, science and the great unknown.

Not to mention the sheer scale of the universe!

These space rockers are a fun DIY toy craft to inspire young imaginations. They are super easy to make, involving basic paper crafting skills of colouring, cutting, folding and gluing. 

There’s an added STEM element because the finished papercraft is balanced perfectly to rock from side to side when you tilt it with your finger.

All templates come in line art so kids can colour them in and make them their own.

Card stock and a decent-quality glue stick (affiliate link) are needed for this craft for sturdiness.

How to make a Paper Space Rocker

You will need:

  • White card stock
  • Markers for colouring
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • The Space Rocker Template, available from our printables store and TPT store
 

 

How to:

Print space rockers out.

Colour the design, leaving the parts marked ‘glue’ blank.

Cut the shapes out.

Fold along the fold line on the circular base.

Glue the two graphic pieces together, using the sections marked as a guide. Glue this to the folded circular base.

Fold the joining strip along dotted lines, then glue this onto the inside of the rocker to help it hold it’s shape.
